So 82nd Street Theater is based out of Abundant Life Community
Church, which is a little storefront church near Mary Kay
Manning. They do small productions, maybe 3 or 4 a year, and
auditions are open to anyone.
This year (I think it's the first year) they're doing an improv workshop today through Wednesday. IT'S SO FUN! It's run by 3 college kids (all awesome) and I think there's 20 people participating. We played a bunch of improv games, as well as some name-games and Zip Zap Zop (which I won. Thank you, Mr. Anderson).
It's just so awesomely awesome because there are all these people and everybody likes theater and everybody has the same sense of humor and attitude and it's all very very fun.

"I've been waiting all these years to dance again..."
Well, not years, but it certainly feels like it. I've obviously been out of that bloody boot for a while now, but I'm still savouring the feeling of being able to dance again. Taking pictures was fun, but still kinda boring. Getting to know the people in my class better, too. Lots of new people, especially in jazz. Was just struck by how happy I am that I'm back. And I'm bored.
Oooh, and we get a sparkly fedora with our jazz costume! It's awesome! I already have, like, four different requests to borrow it, and we just saw the design a week ago.
